The Pilot Club of Lancaster was chartered in 1947 as a local chapter of Pilot International. For more than three quarters of a century Pilots have been serving the needs of Lancaster County residents, providing both hands-on and financial support for educational and humanitarian initiatives benefiting our community.
Pilot Club members have a long history of collaboration with like-minded organizations across Lancaster County. We are proud of our contribution to the establishment of Meals on Wheels of Lancaster and look forward to writing a new history of success through our partnership with Project Lifesaver International.
Pilot Club members build strong bonds of friendship through volunteer activities in service to others. We welcome anyone interested in joining us in our aspiration to do more, care more and be more.
Meals On Wheels of Lancaster
The Pilot Club of Lancaster initiated the first Meals on Wheels program serving Lancaster County in 1967.
In keeping with their tradition of building effective community relationships, Pilot Club members put together a coalition of organizations to help launch the program, including Community Council, Lutheran Social Services, Business and Professional Women's Club and Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
For more than 55 years, Pilots have continued to support Meals on Wheels of Lancaster Inc, now an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Club members serve as volunteers and continue to donate financial resources to the program.
